Green Industry Networking Events – Green Builders Sharing Green Ideas

The green building industry is a dynamic and growing industry. If you want to connect with peers in the green building industry, one of the most popular networking opportunities is the CaGBC National Conference called Building Lasting Change. This annual event brings together like-minded green building professionals for three days of education, green building tours, events, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities. This year's conference will be held online due to the global pandemic, kicking off on September 22. To help make the conference more accessible, content will run half-days, once a week over five weeks.

Networking - Keeping it Current

In an ever changing and evolving industry like green building, it is absolutely necessary to regularly bring professionals together to discuss changes and ideas to keep moving forward. As resources, technologies and the needs of the general public change, so does the building industry. Building Lasting Change is one of the best opportunities for green building professionals to meet and discuss what has taken place in the industry in the past year, and what the future looks like, especially now as the industry grapples with return-to-occupancy in the face of the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

Conference highlights

Every year, members of the Canada Green Building Council and the green building industry take part in the unique workshops, seminars, and educational sessions offered at Building Lasting Change. This year, the conference will include a virtual Exhibitor Showcase featuring presentations of new innovative products, design concepts, and materials. Registered attendees can browse virtual booths, join in live chats, or book appointments to increase their knowledge and help set the direction for their own business in the year ahead.

Continuing Education Opportunities

The CaGBC National Conference gives individuals the opportunity to enroll in various learning and training opportunities. Continuing education  opportunities include sessions on LEED, the Zero Carbon Building Standard, the future of green building and design, and the next generation of products and materials. Building Lasting Change also features numerous guest speakers to keep conference goers engaged and informed.
