The Best Green Building Program Happens Once a Year

Building Lasting Change

Renowned for providing the best green building education in Canada, Building Lasting Change, hosted by the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), attracts 1,000 like-minded green building industry professionals for an intense schedule of education and networking.

Registration is now OPEN.

Renowned for its educational content, this year the conference has moved online. Despite the change brought on by the pandemic, the conference maintains its interactive and engaging design, providing time for thought-provoking discussions. The time you spend collaborating with industry experts and your peers will lead to greater things for Canada’s green building sector and our environment.

In lieu of the gala Leadership Awards dinner, winners of this year's awards will be acknowledge through Building Lasting Change, which kicks off on September 22, 2020. To make it easier for people to attend, the conference will run one half-day a week over five weeks.

The success of the green building industry stands to have an impact like no other – effecting meaningful, long-term change that benefits the quality of life for all Canadians. Now we are in the critical decade of climate action and moving through a global pandemic that has devastated economies, green building stands as a proven solution to not only meet Canada's climate targets, but kick start a stalled economy.

Past conferences have included speakers such as Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, renowned biomimicrist Janine Benyus, David Suzuki and Stephen Lewis, as well as B.C. Premier Gordon Campbell. This year, the conference will kick off with a keynote from the founder of Project Drawdown, Paul Hawken, and end with a keynote from Regional Chief of the Assembly of First Nations, Kluane Adamek.
